How to Play

Play Halloween Grabbers online for free. Halloween Grabbers is a timed 40-stage Mahjong Solitaire game where players move matching pieces of Halloween candy from the screen using grabbers that can move into the level from any edge of the screen. Beat each level before the timer runs out to move onto the next stage. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the Play button on the right side of the welcome screen to start the game.

Under the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select dropdown.
The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for social sharing and reading game developer information.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to select a candy which can be reached from one or more side of the screen (left, right, top or bottom). Select an identically matching candy which can also be reached to remove the pair.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the candies on the screen with a finger to select them for removal.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The right rail of the game contains the controls.
        At the top it shows your cumulative game score, level number, and remaining level time.
        At the bottom there are buttons to pause the game, switch to full screen mode, control game sound, and control game music.
        Game Play
        Candy matching
        Candy matches must be identical.
        You can only match candies where each of them can be reached from at least one side of the screen (including top or bottom along with left and right).
        Both candies can be grabbed from the same side, or grabbed from different directions.
        As you remove some candies from the board you open up other candies for removal.
        Levels
        This game has 40 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
        Each level has a unique board layout and level timer.
        The first level gives you 47 seconds to remove 12 candies or 6 candy pairs.
        By the time you get up to level 5 there is a 55 second time limit to remove 28 candies or 14 candy pairs.
        As you play through the levels deeper into the game it makes more sense to try to focus on candies close to the edge of the level until you get the level opened up a bit.
        You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over from the first level.
        End game vs continues
        If you do not beat a level on time it shows an “End Game” button. If you click that button it ends your game and you can submit your cumulative game score.
        If you would like to continue your game rather than ending it, do not click the “End Game” button & instead refresh your web browser window, then click on the Play button on the welcome screen and you will be offered a chance to Continue Previous Game.
        Scoring
        Your game score is cumulative across levels.
        It is generally easier to score more points on later levels as you have a longer timer and there are more candies to remove.
        Earn 100 points for each candy pair you match.
        You can earn a combo multiplier on your removal score by removing multiple sets of same type of candy consecutively.
        Remove 2 sets of the same type of candy and get a 2x bonus, remove 3 and get a 3x bonus.
        Earn 100 points for each second you have remaining when you beat a level.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Solitaire tile match games or people who celebrate Halloween.
        The game has no adult themed content.
